Stefan is a London-based hair stylist and grooming consultant with over 20 years of experience in the industry. With an impressive track record of working with some of the most prestigious salons in the city, Stefan launched his own eponymous barbershop and consultancy in 2018, where he continues to offer unparalleled expertise and service.
Throughout his career, Stefan has been involved in numerous high-profile projects, showcasing his creative flair and passion for the industry. He has styled the hair for the Dolce & Gabbana, Ada + Nik runway shows and Gillette. As a passionate advocate for male-focused charities, Stefan has collaborated with various initiatives, including the Style for Soldiers charity, and travelled to Senegal as part of the Project Africa initiative.

Francesco Cheruseo
Creative Italian Flair based in the Heart of Mayfair
Francesco Cheruseo is an accomplished barber with an impressive 12 years of experience under his belt. He is a true artist in every sense of the word, having received classical training and worked with renowned fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana. Francesco’s passion for the craft started at a young age, when he began his journey as a Junior Barber at a traditional barbershop in Sorrento, Italy. He was eager to learn and would spend his afternoons observing and assisting the professionals. This curiosity and dedication led him to enrol at the National Academy of Italian Hairstylists, where he received the best training in the country.
Francesco’s commitment to perfecting his skills never waned, and he continued to attend prestigious workshops such as “Barber Match,” “Wahl Workshop,” and “Shorem Barber’s Workshop.” His competitive streak saw him take part in the “Italian Hairdresser Championship,” which allowed him to showcase his talents on a national stage.
After moving to London, Francesco landed a coveted position at Murdock, where he quickly made his mark and was promoted for his exceptional work. His talent did not go unnoticed, and he was soon headhunted by Dolce & Gabbana to work in their salon, where he continued to thrive. Finally, Francesco joined Stefan Avanzato’s team at the very first Avanzato Grooming Lounge, where he has found a home to showcase his talent and continue to grow as a barber.

Seela Mukhtar
Male Cosmetologist & Self-Care Advocate
Waseela Mukhtar, lovingly known as Seela, is our talented beauty therapist here at Avanzato Grooming Lounge. With over 7 years of experience, Seela has travelled far and wide to hone her skills in the art of male grooming.
Starting out in the picturesque seaside town of Blackpool, Seela completed her apprenticeship while working at both salon and hotel spas. Seeking out new opportunities, she eventually moved to London in 2017 and worked at Pestana Chelsea Spa to expand her expertise.
Knowing there was more to learn, Seela took her skills to the sunny shores of Ibiza, working poolside at 5-star hotels across the island for two seasons. She returned to London and landed a job at Soho House, where she worked at various Cowshed locations and special events, honing her craft and expanding her knowledge in beauty and grooming. Her dedication and hard work eventually led to her being promoted as the lead therapist of the spa.
Now, Seela has taken on the exciting role of Beauty Therapist at Avanzato Grooming Lounge, where she offers her specialised services and excellent knowledge in relaxing treatments to promote self care and wellbeing. With a warm and welcoming exterior and humble outlook on life, Seela is passionate about healing individuals and advising them on how to maintain a daily routine that sets them up for success and wellbeing. She firmly believes that practising self-care is the crucial first step towards embarking on a positive journey towards self-discovery and self-improvement.
Always eager to upgrade her skills, Seela is constantly on the lookout for new ways to perform the best treatments to the highest standards. Seela’s healing touch will leave you feeling renewed, refreshed and ready to take on the world!
